Sibling rivalry seems at its best on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’. Actress Priyamani , who is touted to be playing Soorpanaka in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavan’, says what has improved her as an actor is her association with Vikram, who plays ‘Raavan’, her brother in the film.

On the sets, my focus in on outsmarting Vikram as an actor. Kenny is terrific at his work and it’s inspiring to see how he changes from a jovial person off screen to the character he plays when the camera gets rolling,” drools Priyamani. “In fact, Kenny has made me develop a conviction to do as good as him in all our scenes in the film,” adds the actress, who is clearly excited about her double whammy in working with the country’s best actors and director Mani Ratnam .

‘Raavan’ is a bilingual directed by Mani Ratnam and has Vikram and Aishwarya Rai in the lead. Prithviraj is said to be playing Ram while Priyamani, Soorpanaka. Manikandan cranks the camera for this film which has music by AR Rahman . Aishwarya Rai is juggling dates between ‘Raavan’ and ‘Endhiran’. The actress has allotted 200 bulk dates for ‘Endhiran’ in which she pairs with the superstar for the first time.

Asin has definitely made her presence felt in a big way with the release of Ghajini. But the actress feels she deserves more than a mere recognition, given her performance in the film. The lady attributes her lack of proper lack of recognition to Aamir Khan’s dictatorial terms that she should not interact with the media until the film releases. Though Asin had agreed to this in the beginning, she realized that this was a big mistake later on. To add to Asin’s misery, all the publicity stills that were released to the media consisted of Aamir only. Sidelined by the actor and the producers, the lady had insisted to Vipul Shah, the director of London Dreams, that she be allowed to talk to the media when she wished or she would terminate the contract.
