We are talking of Sun Pictures magnum opus Endhiran directed by Shankar, featuring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai, with music by AR Rahman.

There was a fierce bidding war for the audio rights between Think Music and Sony Music. Finally Think Music quoted a new record for audio in South India and is rumoured to have paid a whopping Rs 7 Crore for Tamil and Telugu rights!

This is the highest ever paid for an audio in south Indian film history, a price almost on par with recent Bollywood music acquisitions. Any which way you look, it’s a fantastic buy, and overnight Think Music becomes the biggest brand in south India.
