The grapevine is abuzz that Ileana flew to Chennai to meet director Shankar and is now confirmed as the heroine of his 3 Idiots remake in Tamil and Telugu.

She will play Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s heroines in the film.

Ileana will do the role made memorable by Kareena Kapoor in the original. Sathyaraj will play her dad, a role done by Bomman Irani in the Hindi version. It seems Ileana has agreed to give bulk dates to Shankar.

For Ileana, it will be her second film in Kollywood after debuting in Kedi with Ravi Krishna. There was an aborted attempt by Vikram Kumar to cast her in his film with Vikram which got scrapped.

Rana gets lucky. In his very second film in Telugu, he is being paired up with top heroine Illeana. Puri Jagannadh who gave blockbuster Pokiri to Illeana has roped her in for his new film with Rana.

Produced by Bujji, the movie goes to the sets from Saturday (September 3, 2010). Interestingly, Illeana has just walked out from Pawan Kalyan’s film – remake of Love Aaj Kal and signed this movie.

On the other hand, this Puri – Rana movie will have music by Bollywood composers Vishal – Sekhar who earlier worked for the Venkatesh starrer Chintakayala Ravi.

Trisha Replace Ileana in Pawan Kalyan’s Khushiga

Leading Telugu heroine Ileana, who was to play the main heroine in Pawan Kalyan’s next project Khushiga (Telugu remake of the Bollywood flick Love Aaj Kal) has been reportedly replaced by leading Tamil heroine Trisha.

According to sources, Ileana had earlier given bulk dates to her other project 3 Idiots, directed by Shankar, but the film was delayed for various reasons, causing an unexpected date clash with Khushiga.

However, it is said that the final decision on Ileana’s replacement has been not taken yet officially by the film’s makers. Apparently, hero Pawan Kalyan would take the final call after his return from Jerusalem next week.

There has been news that Ileana has been trying to introduce her sister to Tollwood . According to sources, Ileana has sacrificed her lead role in Mahesh Babu ’s upcoming film Varudu for the sake of her sister.

It is being said tat she wanted her younger sister to make her debut in this movie and backed out from the project hoping that the role will go to her sis.“Ileana recommended her sister’s to Trivikram and Mahesh Babu. But both Trivikram and Mahesh did not heed the request. Ileana got upset with the entire episode and is busy making future plans,” said source.
