Vijay is playing Asin’s Kavalkaran (Bodyguard) in Siddique directed remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard.

The shoot of the film has started from Monday in Kumbakonam.

Once again Vijay has preferred to take an old super hit MGR- Jayalalitha film Kavalkaran (1967), as the title for his new film. After Vettaikkaran Vijay is using an MGR title again, as he believes that it has tremendous recall value among the masses.

However the title is appropriate as Vijay, a happy go lucky youth is appointed by Raj Kiran a local toughie to be his daughter Asin’s bodyguard when she goes to college. The enemies of Raj Kiran want to eliminate his daughter and our hero turns out to be herKavalkaran!

Silambarasan to join Nayantara in Goa!

Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Goa’ day by day is growing and going attractive as well. Already the movie has interesting star cast, with special guests thrown in. Hot Nayantara was the earlier buzz. We had it that the sizzling gal will grace the climax scenes.

Now the latest to join this crazy jovial team is Silambarasan! It is said that the actor will be coming in the course of the movie in a cameo role. However, he won’t be featured along with Nayantara, instead will appear in a separate sequence, sources said.

Jai, Vaibhav, Premji, along with Silambarasan? Wow! Looks like altogether the guys will surely bring down the roof with their wit and gimmicks.

Sneha, Piya, Juliana Fine, Nayantara, Silambarasan… is there anyone else coming on board, Director Sir?

Silambarasan’s Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa has some good and innovative posters. Intrestingly none of crew members are named in the posters. The only mention is that of the production house – escape artists motion pictures & r.s infotainment pvt. ltd.

The title Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya is straight out of the first words of the Prabu deva and Kajol starrer Minsaara Kanavu hit song. The film has a tag line of “A different love story. AGAIN”.
