NDTV reports that Prabhu Deva is currently shooting for Santosh Sivan’s movie,said that he is in love with Nayanthara and that the couple will be getting married soon. He also added that it is a personal decision and he prefers not to talk about it to the media.

Earlier this year, Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara did a “live” hip-hop performance at the TN Chief Minister felicitate function on February 6 2010.

Glam queen Nayanthara and Prabhudeva ( known as Indian Michael Jackson ) worked together in Vijay’s Villu and were close friends since then.

He proves this in once again in Boss Engira Baskaran, a hilarious movie that has only one motive- to make the audience laugh right from scene one till climax. Helping the director in his mission is Arya and Santhanam.

Baskaran (Arya), who is called as Boss by friends, takes nothing serious in life. He and his friend Nallathambi (Santhanam) make fun at anything and everything they comes across. One fine day, Boss encounters Chandrika (Nayanthara), a trainee professor.

She happens to be none other than the sister of Boss’s sister-in-law (Vijayalakshmi). When he expresses his desire to marry her, hurdles come in the form of his irresponsibility. How he successfully comes across everything is a laugh riot.

It’s out and out Arya’s show. Watching him in such a cool role is a delight. Santhanam’s performance, especially his one-liners, is one of the main strengths of the movie. Nayanthara looks cool.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music, Sakthi Saravanan’s cinematography and Vivek Harshan’s editing among other things add value to the film. The only minus being a very few scenes in the second half, the film produced by Vasan Visual Ventures and released by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies and The Show People is worth a watch. And you have to thank Rajesh for that.

Reportedly Prabhu’s family has accepted Nayantara and she is the darling of the household. Recently, the couple is said to have exchanged garlands during a big homam performed by Prabhu’s dad Sundaram Master.

“Last Tuesday, they were spotted at a Vadapalani theatre holding hands and watching Karthi’s Naan Mahaan Alla,” a source added. Prabhu Deva also took her to Paris during the shoot of Jayam Ravi’s Ich, which he’s directing.

Nayantara is currently focusing on completing all her pending projects in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada such as Arya’s Boss Engira Baskaran, Electra in Malayalam and Symbol with Upendra in Kannada.

The question about Nayan endorsing a brand arose when several of her contemporaries are earning of crores of Rupees in brand endorsements.

Boss Engira Baskaran has Arya playing the title role. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film and Shakthi Saravanan has handled the camera.

Today (Nov 18) Nayanthara celebrates her birthday.

She is smart, aggressive and knows what’s best for her. Politically correct and to the point, she radiates positive energy to people around her.

She has the looks, talent and that special knack for making news at regular intervals and hence is referred to as the tabloid queen of south Indian cinema.

The actress says with her captivating smile, “I am in Hyderabad on location of NTR’s Adurs. It will be a normal day. My phone has not stopped ringing since last night. I feel so happy and special when my friends call up and wish me. My friends who flew in from different places arranged for a small, surprise get-together and we cut a cake last night”.

So what is she planning to do today? Adding mystery to her already mysterious nature, she smiles: “Maybe another small get-together with close friends in the evening”.

Nayan will complete Adurs and has signed two films – a Malayalam film with director Shyamaprasad and a Tamil film opposite Arya.

A section of the media has reported that she stopped signing new films in Tamil and Telugu and is refusing to wear glamourous outfits these days. But quizzed about this she says: “ I have to get good offers and I’m open to films in any language as long as the script and other factors are favourable”.

2009 has been a very strange year for Nayan, both professionally and personally. She concludes: “ I am extremely happy and nothing upsets me right now. God has always been kind to me and I can’t ask for more”.

Nayantara, who has been the reigning queen of both Tamil and Telugu film industries, plans to go for an image makeover. The actress has signed her next Telugu movie Anjaneyulu in which she has a well-crafted and unique role with a good blend of glamour and performance. Nayantara has decided to go beyond regular roles and choose characterizations that will bring out her hidden talents. Directed by Parasuram, shooting for Anjaneyulu will begin in May; Ravi Teja is the hero.

The film is expected to be a complete family entertainer, and other members of the cast include Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ahuthi Prasad, Chalapthi Rao, Raja Ravindra, A.V.S. and Jeeva. The actress is very confident that 2009 would be her best year so far!

At a time when fans are ready to build Nayantara a temple of her, the actress has picked a fight on Vishu in Killikaavu Temple in Manicheri, Kerala. Nayantara is currently working on ‘Bodyguard’ in Malayalam, and has been shooting for the film near Ottapalam in Kerala. On Vishu, deliberated as the Malayalam New Year, the actress has paid a visit to the temple. Nayantara was refused entry into the temple as she was wearing a “Salwar Kameez”, as temple authorities said devotees were not allowed if they were wearing Salwars or pants. The actress reportedly shoved them aside and tried to enter the temple, when fans swarmed around her.

On understanding the situation, they asked Nayantara to apologise to the temple authorities for disrespecting them. The actress, who was not willing to apologise, called the crew of ‘Bodyguard’. But this attempt turned futile, as Nayantara was finally forced by the crew to apologise to temple authorities. This created a flutter in the temple as there was commotion for over an hour. When contacted, Nayantara denied the entire affair and said the controversy arouse when people outside the temple, who were under the influence of alcohol, abused her.

Hence director V V Vinayak and NTR looked for alternative top heroine and Nayanatara has stepped in her place. Nayanatara also came out from a Tamil movie recently and she is free now. Nayanatara now hopes to bounce back in Telugu with this movie.
