Karthi and Tamanna pair up again, after their successful movie Paiyaa, in Siruthai. Directed by Siva, Siruthai is the remake of Telugu movie Vikramarkudu. Recently, the lead pair, Karthi and Tamanna were seen romancing in the outskirts of the city in Mayajaal.

For the movie of course! The shooting for Siruthai is currently going on in Mayajaal and Karthi, in a red shirt and blue jeans and Tamanna, in a white dress, were romancing for the film.

With Endhiran due to be released this Friday, the unit is working doubly hard to wrap the shoot as quickly as possible. Interestingly, Karthi, after four successive hits, will be seen in a dual role for the first time in his career.

Dhanush and Tamanna will pair up for a film that is to be directed by Hari. The director says that this venture, titled Aruva, will commence in the month of August.

Cameraman Priyan is expected to wield the camera for this venture. Sources say that this movie is an action film but Hari intends to make it to suit Dhanush’s image. Devi Sri Prasad will score the music. Raj Kiran plays an important role in Aruva.

Director ‘Jayam’ Raja has completed the shoot of his forthcoming film ‘Thillalangadi’, which has his younger brother ‘Jayam’ Ravi in the lead role. Produced by their father Editor Mohan, release rights of the movie have been reportedly acquired by Sun Pictures.

A remake of Telugu runaway hit ‘Kick’, the Tamil version has Ravi and Tamanna replacing Ravi Teja and Ileana respectively. The film has Vadivelu doing the role played by Brahmanandam in the original.

Shot in Malaysia and Hyderabad, final schedule of the shooting was recently completed in Chennai with Ravi, Tamanna and Shaam taking part, sources say. “Ravi and Raja are extremely happy about the final output,” they add.

The film which has music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja is currently on the editor’s table, we learn. Prabhu, Santhanam and a long list of prominent faces are there in this movie, which is expected to hit screen after June.

Lingusamy’s Paiyya began the first day shooting launched near Bangalore. The Paiya movie with Karthi and Tamannaah in the lead. Paiya is Lingusamy’s next directorial venture after Bheema. Paiya will be produced by Tiruppathi Brothers. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for ‘Paiya’, while Madhi will take care of cinematography. The team of Thillalangadi have returned from Malaysia after a month-long schedule.Jayam Ravi’s career is booming after back to back hits, Santosh Subramaniyam, Dhaam Dhoom and Peranmai.

Ravi’s brother Raja, the ‘remake king of Kollywood‘, is all set to cash in on Ravi’s new found image. Remember Raja normally remakes from Telugu family subjects laced with sentiments and a bit of action.

This time Raja has gone for the remake of Ravi Teja’s action packed Telugu film Kick, which will be Thilalangadi in Tamil!

Ravi works best under Raja and his home production Jeyam Company run by dad Editor Mohan, who will be producing Thilalangadi. The film has Jayam Ravi paired opposite Tamanna for the first time along with Shaam who will play a cop with negative shades and Vadivel will be in charge of the comedy department. Yuvan Shankar Raja will provide music. It will be Ravi’s big 2010 summer release.

Vishal’s Theeradha Villayattu Pillai, which will be directed by Thiru, will commence very soon. However, the team is still in the process of selecting the heroines. Sources reveal that there would be three heroines in the film.

While Nayathara was touted to be a strong contender for the role, it now looks like Tamanna will bag the role.

It may be recalled that Tamanna went to sign up a project – Payya – after Nayan refused to star in it. The other heroine is said to be Reema Sen.

Meanwhile, there was a buzz that Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu could be signed up. But the actress is apparently not interested in south Indian films as she finds the language difficult to speak. With Theeradha Villayattu Pillai, Tamanna’s status in Kollywood will go several notches up, industry sources say.
