These are definitely not the best of times for Trisha, who has not been receiving that many good news on the professional front. Prior to signing up ‘Manmathan Ambu’ opposite Kamal Hassan, she was literally flying in the air and was basking in the success of her latest Tamil film ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’. She was even counting to be cast in the Hindi version of VTV by Gautham Menon.

As it happened, Menon has now cast Amy Jackson (of ‘Madarasapatinam’ fame) to play the heroine in the Hindi version of VTV. The failure of Trisha’s first Hindi film ‘Khatta Meetha’ was said to be the reason for Menon preferring Amy over Trisha. Even before the shock was digested by Trisha, she has received another jolt from Tollywood.

She has also been shown the exit door from a Telugu film opposite Pavan Kalyan, the reason cited by Trisha for not being able ‘to do the Hindi version of VTV’. Though Trisha had already been paid the advance amount to star in the Pavan Kalyan film, Pavan is said to have told the producer to forget the advance and look for another heroine.

Speculations of varying nature are appearing in the Telugu press about Pavan’s decision not to star opposite Trisha. Unless Trisha or Pavan himself say about this, we won’t be knowing for sure as to what transpired behind the scenes!

The new news is that Love Aaj Kal is remade to telugu starring Pawan Kalyan and Trisha Krishnan as the roles of Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone respectively.Love aaj kal was directed by Imtiaz Ali and was a hit in Hindi.

It told the story of Love in two different ages(Old and new).Illeana was formerly placed to the role but later Trisha was selected.Anyways trisha is very much happy receiving the heroine of Pawan kalyan.

“Finally saw ‘Endhiran‘…Rajini Sir is super…Only he can carry off such a role…Total entertainer and so much fun”, the pretty actress said.

Heaping laurels on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the heroine of the film, she said, “And Aishwarya Rai is so beautiful and graceful. Definitely one of the most beautiful people I’ve seen”.

On Endhiran’s music by A R Rahman, her favourite music composer and Shankar, the director of the mega budget film, Trisha said, “Must say Congrats and Hats off to the whole team. Especially the director and my most favourite person A R Rahman”.

As a result of her name being linked with the drug scandal, the actress has bagged an offer in tollywood big project ‘Khushiga’. According to sources, this movie was meant for Ileana initially. But power star Pawan Kalyan was interested in acting with Trisha, as this was going to be a fresh pair in Tollywood. Moreover, after the telugu news channels highlighting Trisha in a drug scandal, her name has become so catchy in every household, that the movie project ‘ Khushiga’ will get a free publicity.

For this reason, Trisha replaced Ileana in this project and she must be thankful to her link up with the tollywood drug scandal.

But Trisha is not willing to take it lying down.

“It’s very strange. I was shooting in Kodaikanal when this Telugu news channel put this news out. And they put a still of me and this very dear friend of mine who’s Afro-American. They assumed that this fashion-designer friend of mine was some drug peddler from Nigera,” a fuming Trisha said from Chennai.

“I was angry. This is not just a harmless rumour. The first thing I did was to get my lawyer to issue statements to all the TV channels. I’ve taken legal action against the channel which put this out. There is not an element of truth in it. It’s strange where this story came from. I haven’t been to Hyderabad for a year now. I was told this peddler knows my number. But come on, everyone knows my number,” the pretty actress said.

Trisha thinks this an attempt to malign her name in the Telugu film industry.

“The only problem is you can’t pinpoint such a thing to any one source. But yes, it seems to have been done to tarnish my image. Luckily I’ve got a lot of support in Hyderabad even from the authorities,” she said.

However, it is said that the final decision on Ileana’s replacement has been not taken yet officially by the film’s makers. Apparently, hero Pawan Kalyan would take the final call after his return from Jerusalem next week.

Manmadhan Ambu, touted to be a comedy flick, is being directed by KS Ravikumar.

Pratik is the son of veteran Bollywood actors Raj Babbar and Smita Patil. Pratik Babbar had made his debut in Bollywood in “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” where he played the role of Genelia’s brother.

This movie is a Hindi remake of Gautam Menon’s “Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya”. This Tamil superhit had Trisha in its main lead.

The Hindi version too would be directed by Gautam Menon where Trisha will be seen playing the role of Jessie. The shooting of the film is scheduled to start this August.
